Her son, John was born sighted, but a brain tumor brought on blindness. With the purchase of canes, Braille books and Braille instruction programs, plus stimulating toys, she has started a school. She has received help from the Hilton/Perkins Program. Conrad Hilton Foundation and Perkins International especially seek to improve the life of children with multiple disabilities around the world. She is asking for community help, as the school has a waiting list for admission. Contact Vickers at 152-0426 or (415) 114-0948.
