The Heart of Frida Exhibition has returned to SMA and is now at Jesús 36, open Monday thru Sunday, except Tuesday, from 10:00 to 6:00.

– Galería León del Bajio, Jesús 2A, (formerly Galería LeNoir) will have an opening reception for the works of sculptor Terra Mizwa and painter Peter Leventhal at 5:00.

– Generator Gallery, Fábrica la Aurora, will have an opening reception for paintings of muralist David Leonardo at 5:00.

– The Engraved Glassware Project has moved to SMA from Dallas, Texas. Charles Hall was born with partial arms and no hands. Over a year ago, he moved to SMA to manage his mother’s established wholesale company. Cooperating with Lucha Maxwell, founder to Centro de
Crecimiento, he found a training and wholesale manufacturing business, Exportadora Camino
Norte. Nine of the 21 employees are disabled. Between 4:00 and 7:00 Zócalo Folk Art, Hernández Macías 110 at will display and sell wares of the Project.

– Galería RaLuz in the Hotel San Francisco, corner of el Jardín and Calle Hidalgo will have an opening reception for the works of artists Ingalor Dwyer and painter, printmaker, sculptor Richard Fernández from 6:00 to 8:00. The exhibit will continue until August 24.

– The James Pinto Gallery of Instituto Allende, Ancha de San Antonio 20, will have a collective opening for works of resident local painters Janet
Dowda, Jim Giampaolo and Chi Kaplan at 6:00.

– Scheduled is an opening reception for painter José Luis Árias in the newly reopened SMA mansions Los Arcángeles at Salido á Qyerétaro 16 at 8:00. Los Arcángeles was the home of early mover and shaker of SMA Enrique Pomar de Cossío and later of Instituto Allende’s Nell Fernandez, and is located short distance up the hill from the corner of
Correo.
