Keeping in shape in SMA is pretty easy these days. Just walking
at a brisk pace will get your heartbeat up at this altitude. Joggers
and runners may find the 1/5 less oxygen than at sea level a little tiring
at first.
The Unidad Deportiva on the Salida a
Celaya (opposite the entrance to Los Frailes) offers basketball, tennis
courts, soccer fields, a small weight room and a standard 400-meter track.
The Unidad Deportiva bus (Insurgents, Quebrada, Zacateros, Ancha de San
Antonio) takes you there.
Ramiro's Gym at Portero 8, Colonia San
Antonio has weights, sationary bikes and other exercise equipment and a
raquetball court. From Ancha de San Antonio, Calle Stirling
Dickinson, Portero 8 gets you there. Above it, Heavenly Bodies

Another well-equipped gym is Axis Gym
at Calzada de la Aurora 30 in Colonia Guadalupe. Walk down Hidalgo
towards Calzada de la Luz, after the intersection, it is Calzada de la
Aurora. Not as roomy as Ramiro's, there is plenty of equipment.

En Forma Aerobics Studio at Mesones 14
offers a fun way to get/or stay in shape. Classes vary in
difficulty. Check out the possibilities by stopping in to see where
you fit.
A new fitness club in Los Balcones at
Santo Domingo 55 has a 25-meter heated pool, a small gym with
state-of-the-art equipment, and a treadmill. Steam baths, massage
rooms add to what is

Yoga has been popular in SMA for years. The Yoga
Cooperative operates in the Bellas Artes, Hernández Macías
75. Classes are at 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays.
The Aurora Yoga Center at Correo
